Background
Transport Interchange Consultancy brings together a group of professionals who have been providing Interchange design services for the last 20 years.
Simon Coventry, a professional transport planner with 25 years experience of the rail industry, heads up the Consultancy. He has managed many light and heavy rail projects in several countries at that time. More recently he has concentrated at the provision of enhanced facilities at railway interchanges.
The principle architectural design services are provided by Marc Worrall who has developed his skills over the last 20 years, particularly in railway and bus related projects, and has built around him a group of individuals who are well able to undertake feasibility studies, through to full design and management of transport related building projects.
The major structural skills are provided by Adrian Mirfin, BSC., C.Eng., M.I.C.E., and a Fellow of the Institute of Structural Engineers, he has some 20 years involvement in the provision of new and refurbished car park and railway interchange structures.
The necessary Quantity Surveying input would be lead by Gerald Hiles who has spent a considerable part of his career in the preparation of tender documentation for new and upgraded transport related projects, including park and ride schemes.
Members of TIC have been involved in over 100 transport interchange projects in the last 15 years, the majority have been constructed on time, within budget and with the minimum of contractual issues.
The aim of the Consultancy is to maintain a broad outlook, utilize proven techniques and skills but also constantly to strive to provide solutions, which are right for the passenger and the provider.
